Nottingham attacks: Five arrested

Five men have been arrested after two assaults in Nottingham.

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in one of the attacks in the early hours of 30 May on Long Row in Nottingham city centre.

Half an hour later, two more men were dragged to the ground and beaten up by a gang near the Council House.

The five men, aged between 17 and 21 years old, were arrested on suspicion of assault and later released on bail.

None of the victims had life threatening injuries, a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said.

Detectives said the Old Market Square was busy at the time of the attacks and have urged witnesses to contact them.
