Three Nottingham men charged over anti-mosque graffiti

Three men have been charged with hate crimes after graffiti was sprayed on the site of a proposed mosque.

Wayne Havercroft, 31, of Bestwood Village, Nicholas Long, 21, of Arnold, and Robert Parnham, 19, of Clifton, face charges of causing religiously aggravated alarm and criminal damage.

The graffiti was found on Collington Way on 23 June in West Bridgford.

Mr Havercroft is also charged with writing hate graffiti in Nottingham city centre on 25 June.

The three men will appear at Nottingham Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Christopher Payne, 25, of Hucknall, has already pleaded guilty to writing hate graffiti in West Bridgford on 23 June.

He will appear in court for sentencing on 21 July.
