Police car crashes into bungalow in Mansfield Woodhouse

Two Nottinghamshire Police cars collided while responding to a 999 call, sending one crashing into a bungalow.

Both vehicles were travelling to a reported burglary when they collided at the junction of Sherwood Street and Cross Street in Mansfield Woodhouse.

No-one inside the bungalow was injured but the property was badly damaged in the incident at 20:15 BST on Thursday.

Two officers were taken to King's Mill Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out, and police said they were helping to organise alternative accommodation for the bungalow's occupant.
