A 22-year-old Nottinghamshire man who died in a road crash has been named.

Jack Ashley, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, died after the Ford Focus he was travelling in left the A611 near Annesley and hit a tree just before midnight on Tuesday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Nottinghamshire Police said.

Four people - a man and woman, both 23, and two men, both 24 - were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later released on bail.

A 22-year-old woman from the same car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
