Stephen Woodward denies murdering wife on Christmas Day

A Nottingham man has denied murdering his wife at their home on Christmas Day.

At Nottingham Crown Court, Stephen Woodward, 56, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Gillian Woodward, also 56, at their home in Bilborough.

A post-mortem examination found Mrs Woodward died of a stab wound.

Mr Woodward, of Bosden Close, was remanded in custody to reappear at Nottingham Crown Court for trial at a date to be fixed.
