Woman sexually assaulted in car park in Nottingham

A man is being sought by police in Nottingham after a 40-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a car park.

She was attacked by a man off Arthur Street at about 00:45 BST last Sunday.

She is receiving treatment after suffering cuts and bruises to her face and body and a puncture wound to her thigh.

Nottinghamshire Police said it believed residents in the Radford and Forest Fields areas of the city could have "vital information".

'Spiky hair'

Her attacker has been described as white, muscular, about 5ft 8ins tall and aged in his late 20s to late 30s.

He had short, spiky mousy blond hair, and was wearing blue jeans and a white polo shirt, featuring an off-white pattern on the front, which was distorted as it stretched across his chest.

He spoke with a Nottingham accent.

Det Insp Lee Young said: "We believe the offender remained in the vicinity for up to an hour after the attack, and we are keen to speak with anyone who may also have been in the Forest Lane/Alfreton Road (A610) area at around that time.

"Were you returning home through the area after a Saturday night out in the city, whether on foot, or perhaps in a taxi?

"Did you see or hear anything suspicious? Did you see anyone matching the description of the suspect? If so, please call us immediately."
