Danny Parekh murder inquiry: Man arrested in Spain

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in Spain in connection with the murder of a man found stabbed in a Nottingham park.

Danny Parekh, 21, from Bulwell, was found by police in the park in Old Basford on 8 July.

Mr Parekh later died at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre from a stab wound to the leg.

The 20-year-old was detained in Malaga under a European arrest warrant and is awaiting extradition to the UK.

A 22-year-old man, from Bulwell, has been charged with assisting an offender in connection with the inquiry.

Officers in Nottinghamshire have also arrested three other people in connection with the murder.

A 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both men have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A 15-year-old boy arrested in connection with the murder remains on bail.
