A woman who died after being hit by a car in a supermarket car park in Nottinghamshire has been named.

Janet Doidge, 46, from New Balderton, was killed at Sainsbury's in Balderton, Newark, on Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the car involved, a Honda Accord, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

The 71-year-old Grantham man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 13:15 BST.
