Wayne Slack named as man in car river crash death

A man who died when his car left the road and entered a river in Nottinghamshire has been named by police.

Wayne Slack, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to Ollerton Road in Carburton at 12:10 GMT on Sunday.

Police do not think any other vehicle was involved in the crash and there were no other reported casualties.

Mr Slack had been driving a Renault Clio from Worksop towards Ollerton.

The road was closed at the junction of Sparken Hill and Carburton crossroads for police to carry out inquiries.
