Man suffers serious head injuries in Arnold

A 47-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after suffering head injuries during an evening out in Nottinghamshire.

The victim was found in Front Street, Arnold, at about 23:35 GMT on Saturday and was taken to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Police believe he had been in the Robin Hood and Horse and Jockey pubs and are keen to speak to anyone who saw him.

Detectives are trying to establish how he was injured and if he was assaulted.

Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police.
