Man killed in lorry crash on A17 in Nottinghamshire

A 73-year-old man was killed when he crashed into a stationary lorry on the A17 in Nottinghamshire.

Leigh William Robbins smashed into the lorry at about 13:00 GMT, near Coddington.

Nottinghamshire Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was injured.

The road is closed in both directions, near the junction with Drove Lane, and is expected to remain closed for several hours.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
