A man has been arrested after a shot was fired in a Nottingham street.

Police were called to Donkey Hill in St Ann's on Tuesday after reports of a loud bang and a dispute between a group of men outside a takeaway.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm after officers raided three addresses in the city.

No-one was found injured at the scene but police are still trying to trace a man they believe was shot in the foot.

They are also trying to trace a blue Ford Focus seen on CCTV.

Thorneywood Mount was closed for almost 24 hours while forensics officers examined the scene.

A cordon remains in place with police patrolling the area.
