A Police Community Support Officer has been charged with child sex offences.

Based at Ollerton police station in Nottinghamshire, Daniel Childs, 28, was charged by his own force on Wednesday.

He faces four counts of sexual activity with four separate children under the age of 16, and three of misconduct in a public office both on and off duty between 2006 and 2013.

He will appear before magistrates in Leicester on 1 May. He was suspended in February 2013 when he was arrested.
