A huge fire that destroyed a disused warehouse was started deliberately, Nottinghamshire Police have said.

At its height, eight crews tackled the blaze at the former Polestar UK Print building, in Wigman Road, Bilborough, through the night on 10 June.

A large area of Bilborough was cordoned off and residents were told to stay indoors following a warning about asbestos.

The building is set to be demolished due to extensive fire damage.

Detectives said they believe it was started deliberately and have appealed for information.

Several people were evacuated from an Army reserve centre in Wigman Road but no-one was injured.

Witnesses said the flames reached 10ft (3m) above the building.
