Missing Oxford man phones family

An Oxford man who went missing after being assaulted in the city, has contacted his family.

Andrew Lennon, known as Lee, was attacked on 14 July. His mother found him in the city centre with injuries to his face and body.

The 28-year-old was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital but left soon after.

Police issued a missing person's appeal on 15 July. Mr Lennon contacted his mother, Brenda Lennon, the following day and told her he was safe.
