Police fire Taser at Oxford pub knifeman

A Taser stun gun was fired at a man armed with two knives at an Oxford pub.

Officers were called to reports the man entered the Holly Bush in Bridge Street on Thursday evening and armed himself with knives from the kitchen.

He is alleged to have made threats against himself and staff before police discharged the Taser device when he approached them with the weapons.

He was treated at hospital for head injuries. A 25-year-old man was arrested and is in custody.
