Man in court over Oxfordshire golf club stabbing murder

A man has appeared before magistrates charged with murdering a barman at a golf club in Oxfordshire.

Christopher Varian, 32, from Stone in Buckinghamshire, was attacked at the Oxfordshire Golf Club in Rycote Lane, Thame, on Saturday.

Post-mortem tests showed he died from stab wounds to the neck.

Jonathan Limani, 33, from Rycote Lane, was remanded into custody and is due to appear before Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday.

Mr Varian's parents, brother and sister have described him as a "wonderful man".

In a statement, his family said: "His passing leaves a hole in this family which can never be filled or forgotten."
