Father's death inquest adjourned

An inquest into the death of a father-of-two who was treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital has been adjourned.

Daniel Senior, from Eynsham, died in 2008, several weeks after an operation on his gall bladder and pancreas.

His family claim the hospital mismanaged his care. They told the Oxford coroner they wanted the chance to question the consultant in court.

The hospital said it would not comment until a verdict is recorded. A date for the next hearing has not been set.
