Man charged with attempted murder in Oxford

A man has been charged with attempted murder after the victim was stabbed 13 times in west Oxford.

The 40-year-old man was stabbed in his legs, back and abdomen in Gibbs Crescent on Thursday.

Andrew Puddephatt, 27, from Preachers Lane, appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.

A 36-year-old man was bailed until 15 October. Another man, 35, and a woman, 38, have been bailed until 20 October.
