19-year-old boy dies after Oxford ditch crash

A teenager who suffered serious injuries after the car he was in crashed into a ditch and hit a brick wall has died.

The 19-year-old was in a Fiat Punto which careered off Cuddesdon Road in Horspath, Oxford, on 1 October.

He died at the John Radcliffe Hospital on Thursday evening.

Three other men who were in the car remain in the same hospital. A fifth teenager who suffered minor injuries was treated and later discharged.

The road was closed for several hours while police officers carried out a investigation into the crash.
