A bus has crashed into the front of a house in Henley in Oxfordshire.

It collided with a car and then went into the front room of the house on Greys Road. The woman living there suffered slight injuries.

The impact caused major structural damage to the property but the driver and the passengers on the bus were not hurt.

Police are investigating how the accident on Friday evening happened and appealed for witnesses to contact them.

A cordon was put in place around the surrounding area during Friday night while a gas leak at the property was sealed and the bus removed.

Neighbour Trevor Johnson said: "We heard a heavy thump, which must have been our car, and then finally we heard a great crunch.

"That would have been the bus, which buried itself - the whole of the driver's cabin and a bit more - into the front room there.

"Fortunately there was no-one in [the front room] at the time."
