A car which was left unattended while the owner was de-icing the windscreen has been stolen in Oxfordshire.

The Vauxhall Astra was taken outside an address in Lobelia Road, Blackbird Leys, at about 0730 BST.

The owner had gone inside for a moment after leaving the car running in order to de-ice the windscreen.

Police warned that although it can be tempting to go inside and wait in the warm it "only takes a second" for a thief to strike.
