Oxford For Sale sign arsonist strikes again

An arsonist who targets For Sale signs in Oxford has struck again.

Fire crews were called to a property in Merewood Avenue, Headington, at 0345 BST where a For Sale board was on fire.

A total of 10 signs have been torched over the past three weeks in the Headington area, mostly around London Road.

Thames Valley Police was informed of the latest incident. The force has said the arsonist's motive is unclear but appealed for witnesses.

The first incident was outside a home in London Road at 0422 GMT on 13 March.

A sign was also set alight in Delbush Avenue overnight between 21 and 22 March.

Another board was targeted in Merewood Avenue on 26 March.
