South Oxfordshire council reveals sites for 800 homes

The proposed sites of 800 new homes in Oxfordshire have been released.

South Oxfordshire District Council named an extra 204 homes for Wallingford, 284 in Thame and 326 homes around several of its villages.

These are in addition to those already allocated as part of the council's plans for 4,000 new homes.

It was asked to specify the locations after an inspector said previous plans could not be guaranteed to meet the district's housing needs.

The remaining homes will be allocated to Benson, Berinsfield, Cholsey, Crowmarsh Gifford, Wheatley, Chalgrove, Chinnor, Goring, Nettlebed, Sonning Common, Watlington, Woodcote and Bayswater Farm.

The new proposals will be discussed in a cabinet meeting on 28 June.
