Sexual assaults in Didcot prompt search for man

A man who committed three sex assaults, including two on teenagers, is being sought by police in Oxfordshire.

The attacker indecently touched a 16-year-old girl at the bus stop outside Didcot's Orchard Centre on 3 April.

He assaulted a girl, aged 14, in Ladygrove Park on 25 May, then indecently touched a woman, aged 42, at the Orchard Centre bus stop on Tuesday.

He is white Eastern European with dark skin, about 40 years old, 5ft 8in tall, slim build and rode a black bicycle.

The man is also linked to two suspicious incidents in Didcot on 24 May.

'Distressed and upset'

He approached a 14-year-old girl on the Ladygrove estate, asked her age then stared at her, before telling her he loved her and cycling off towards the town centre at 18:00 BST.

He then offered a 14-year-old a bar of chocolate if she would come home with him, outside Sainsbury's, about three and-a-half hours later.

Police believe the man may have assaulted other women in Didcot, who have not reported the offences.

Det Con Dave Edwards said: "Fortunately these offences are not of the most serious nature of sexual offences, but they have left the victims distressed and upset and it is important we trace the man responsible before he targets other women in Didcot."

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact Thames Valley Police.
