Human remains found on houseboat: Police tests continue
Police are continuing attempts to formally identify human bones discovered in a burned out houseboat on a canal in Oxfordshire.
The remains of a man were found last week on the boat, moored in Wolvercote, following a fire on board on 16 November.
A post-mortem test on Friday failed to identify the person.
Det Insp Mike Lynch said: "We need to perform further forensic investigations which will continue next week."
He added: "We have so far established the human remains were from the body of an adult male."
The owner of the boat was named by police earlier this week as 49-year-old Kevin Pryor.
Police have appealed for anyone who has information on Mr Pryor's movements in the past few weeks to get in touch.
