A fire seriously damaged an Oxfordshire warehouse after breaking out in a gas-driven forklift truck while it was being driven by a worker.

More than 45 firefighters tackled the blaze at Polestar on Chaucer industrial estate in Bicester at about 01:00 BST.

Workers tried to put out the fire but made their escape as fire crews arrived at the scene.

The cause of the blaze is believed to be accidental. A spokesman said no-one was hurt in the fire.

Fire crews were still tackling the blaze earlier.
