Oxford man Sameer Tasib cleared of child sex offences

A man has been cleared of two child sex offences on a teenage girl.

Sameer Tasib, from Oxford, faced charges of one count of sexual assault and one of rape on a girl, who was aged 13 and 14 at the time.

Mr Tasib, of Wilkins Road, was cleared by a jury at Reading Crown Court following a five-day trial.

He was jointly charged by Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
