Woman detained for endangering train at Yarnton level crossing

A woman who admitted endangering a train which hit the car she was driving at a level crossing has been ordered to be detained at a hospital.

Heather Bister, from Austin Drive, Banbury, appeared at Oxford Crown Court earlier in connection with the crash in Yarnton, Oxfordshire on 12 November.

The 43-year-old had pleaded guilty to endangering railway passengers by an unlawful act at the crossing.

The judge at Oxford Crown Court ordered her indefinite detention in hospital.
