Woman rescued from Aston Tirrold house fire

A woman has been rescued from a fire at a house in Oxfordshire.

The blaze broke out in the first floor bedroom of the semi-detached property in Aston Tirrold, near Didcot, at about 21:15 BST on Sunday.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the woman was treated for shock at the scene.

Fire crews from Didcot, Goring, Abingdon and Wallingford, and a unit from the Red Cross, were involved in the rescue.
