A £10m car park at Banbury railway station has been opened.

The four-storey car park, which has 707 spaces, was officially opened by Transport Minister Baroness Kramer and Chiltern Railways managing director Rob Brighouse.

Mr Brighouse said the new addition on the east side of the station, off Bridge Street, was a "real milestone for Banbury station".

The car park was funded by the Department for Transport.

Other improvements include a covered walkway, new ticket office, information point and a larger cafe.
