Man stabbed in row following Oxford's Cowley Road Carnival

A man was stabbed during an argument after an otherwise peaceful Cowley Road Carnival in Oxford, police have said.

The man, in his 20s, was assaulted outside the Blanco bar in Cowley Road just before 20:00 BST on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Police said the stabbing followed a "very successful' event which saw thousands of people enjoy a procession, live music and other entertainment.
