Liberty Baker: Man charged over school walk death

A 19-year-old man has been charged with causing the death of a 14-year-old girl killed as she walked to school in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Liberty Baker died in hospital after a car mounted the pavement in Curbridge Road on 30 June.

Two other 14-year-olds and a man were also hit and needed hospital treatment.

Robert Blackwell, of Hayway Lane, Bampton, is also charged with one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear at Banbury Magistrates' Court on 24 November.
