Woman charged over medication dose at Banbury Horton General Hospital

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after a hospital patient was given a potentially lethal dose of an un-prescribed medication.

A police investigation began into why the 80-year-old female patient at Horton General Hospital in Banbury had unexpectedly deteriorated in October.

She received medical attention and has since been discharged

Julia Knight, 55, of Sycamore Drive, Banbury is due to appear before magistrates on Friday.

She is not a member of hospital staff.
