Police probe over Oxford Kassam Stadium fire

A fire at the home ground of Oxford United football club is thought to have been started deliberately.

Fire crews were called after the blaze was reported in the East Stand of the 12,500 capacity ground in Grenoble Road on Monday evening.

In a statement, the League Two club said: "The fire was quickly contained and no serious damage was caused."

A joint fire service and police investigation is being carried out into the cause of the blaze.
