Bicester assault: Man critically ill with head injuries

A man is in a critical condition after being found lying in a street with head injuries following an assault.

The 26-year-old was discovered unconscious in Causeway in Bicester, Oxfordshire, at about 03:55 BST, police said.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

A police forensic team has been examining part of the road, which has been cordoned off.
