Camera van 'cuts speeding by 25%' on Telford road

The number of vehicles speeding on a residential road in Shropshire has been cut by 25% after a speed camera van was introduced, it has been claimed.

The Safer Roads Partnership in West Mercia said action was taken after community members voiced concerns over Hadley Park Road, Telford.

The 30mph limit has been enforced by the partnership since December.

The group said data it collected in 2009 showed more than half of all vehicles exceeded the 30mph limit.
