Men caught after raid on Shrewsbury takeaway
- Published
Two illegal workers have been caught at a Chinese takeaway in Shrewsbury, the UK Border Agency said.
Officers visited Tiger Bowl in Belle Vue Road on Wednesday. Two Chinese men were held and granted immigration bail.
They must regularly report to an agency office or a police station while steps are taken to remove them from the UK.
Tiger Bowl was warned it may be fined up to £20,000, unless bosses can prove they carried out the correct right-to-work checks on their employees.
The two Chinese men were arrested after officers went into the takeaway at 1800 BST on Wednesday.
