Firefighters rescued cows from a barn fire which affected hundreds of tonnes of straw and corn in Shropshire.

Farm machinery had to be moved during the incident which started at Four Crosses Farm near Tibberton at about 0200 BST.

Glyn Hestbrook, from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, said the "severe fire" was now under control.

Fire crews expect to be at the site for the rest of Friday and Saturday, he added.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Smoke from the fire could be seen three miles (4.8km) from the scene before it was extinguished, residents reported.
