Scheme seeking Whitchurch licensees' backing

Organisers of a scheme to crack down on alcohol-related anti-social behaviour have urged more licensees in a Shropshire town to sign up.

Visits to shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants in Whitchurch are planned to get people to join the project.

The initiative will be relaunched this month.

Police community support officer Graeme Baines said: "Being within a large group of licensees [means] they can pass information between themselves."
