Shropshire father remanded over daughter's murder

A 53-year-old man from Shropshire who is accused of murdering his daughter has been remanded in custody.

Gurmeet Singh Ubhi, from Berberis Road, Leegomery, Telford, is charged with murdering 24-year-old Amrit Ubhi.

Police found her body when they were called to the family home in Berberis Road on 7 September.

Mr Ubhi appeared in Shrewsbury Crown Court earlier and is next due to appear in court for a plea and case management hearing on 16 November.

A court has yet to be fixed for the hearing.
