Murder charge after body found in Shrewsbury flat

A man has been charged with murder after a man's body was found in a ground-floor flat in Shropshire.

West Mercia Police started a murder inquiry after Wesley Morris' body was found at the address in Lancaster Road, Shrewsbury, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Mr Morris, 30, had suffered severe head injuries.

A 39-year-old man, from Shrewsbury, will appear at the town's magistrates court on Saturday. Examinations of the flat continue.
