Two killed in Tern Hill traffic collision

Two men have been killed in a road crash in Shropshire.

Emergency services were called to the junction of the A41 and A53 at Tern Hill at 2300 BST on Wednesday.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said two cars seemed to have been involved in the collision.

The two men, who were both in one of the cars, were confirmed dead at the scene. A man and a woman in the second car were taken to hospital.

West Mercia Police said the two men who died were the driver, thought to be aged 19, and the front seat passenger, thought to be aged 20, in a Vauxhall Corsa.

They are thought to have been travelling north along the A41 towards Whitchurch. The other car, a silver Audi, is thought to have been approaching from the opposite direction.

Police would like any witnesses to contact them.
