Plans have been unveiled for a new Sainsbury's supermarket in a town which the firm said would create 250 jobs.

A 30,000 sq ft supermarket off London Road near Whitchurch town centre in Shropshire has been proposed.

The plans include more than 300 car parking spaces, a customer restaurant and a recycling centre.

The firm said residents' comments would help it to identify any key issues before plans were finalised for submission to Shropshire Council.

The supermarket would create 250 new full and part-time jobs, the company added.

Sainsbury's will display information at a public exhibition at the Brownlow Community Centre on Claypit Street on 5 November between 1230 and 1900 BST and on 6 November between 0930 and 1200 BST.
