Man held in Shropshire on suspicion of rape bid

A 21-year-old man has been arrested
A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted rape of a teenage girl in an alleyway in Shrewsbury.
An incident happened in an alleyway next to the Hole in the Wall pub in Shoplatch between 0200 and 0245 BST on Thursday.
The girl, who is in her late teens, was not physically injured.
A 21-year-old man was arrested a short time after the incident in another part of the town. He was in custody at Monkmoor police station.
