Plaque honours aspiring Shropshire actress
A plaque at a theatre has been dedicated to a young aspiring actress who died after having an asthma attack.
The name of Vicky Leach, 25, who died in 2007, has been attached to a seat in the auditorium at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury.
Her mother, Ann-Mary, said her daughter, from Nesscliffe, wanted to work at the venue.
She added: "She felt that by working here she would get that break that she needed."
'Fell in love'
The theatre in Frankwell was built at a cost of £30m and opened in February 2009.
Her mother added: "She hadn't seen the completed theatre, because they were still building it.
"She wanted to work here so that she [could] get her foot in the doorway, so she could get into the acting business, which was her one dream, being an actress, Shakespearean actress.
"She was a very bubbly, happy, bouncy person. Everybody that met her just fell in love with her."
The theatre site includes a 650-seat main auditorium, a 250-seat studio theatre and a dance studio.
In March last year the venue was officially opened by the Earl of Wessex during a visit to Shrewsbury.
