Council to share grit supplies with neighbouring Telford

Shropshire Council is to supply extra grit to a neighbouring council whose stocks are running low due to the heavy snow and icy conditions.
Telford and Wrekin Council said it started this year's winter maintenance programme with 60% more supplies than last year but stocks have depleted.
A "significant" delivery is due next week, the council said.
Only primary routes in the borough are currently being gritted with a review on that due next week, they added.
"Like any council, supplies are starting to run low but we have deliveries coming," a spokesman said.
On Wednesday the council said it had applied to the government for emergency grit supplies but was waiting for its response.
