Man, 18, remanded on Shrewsbury arson charge

A man charged with arson with intent to endanger life over a fire in Shrewsbury has been remanded in custody over the Christmas period.
The 18-year-old man was charged over a fire in Reedham Road on the Herongate estate at about 2300 GMT on 1 December.
Police said he was granted bail by magistrates but the Crown Prosecution Service has appealed against the decision.
The man is due at Shrewsbury Crown Court on 30 December.
