Motorists in Shrewsbury are facing disruption and delays as a roundabout lane is closed for improvement works.
Shropshire Council has shut one of the circulatory lanes around Heathgates roundabout.
A spokesman said it was inevitable this would cause "a certain amount of disruption" but the council would do all it could to minimise any inconvenience.
The roundabout is shut for landscaping on and around the island.
The work is part of a scheme to improve the main route into Shrewsbury.
A spokesman said it would make the entrance into town safer and more attractive.
