Men steal cockerels from Telford garden

Cockerels and hens with an estimated value of more than £1,000 have been stolen from a garden in Shropshire.

Three men entered the back garden of a property on Regent Street, Wellington, Telford, via Bank Road at about 0945 GMT on Wednesday.

A member of the public asked what they were doing as they were leaving and one of the men responded with verbal abuse.

Five cockerels and two hens were stolen and the men got into a silver car, possibly a Vauxhall, police said.
